The Shriners Hospitals for Children® Orthopaedics Clinic at Niswonger Children’s Hospital is a partnership between Shriners Hospitals for Children — Greenville and Niswonger Children’s Hospital.

The clinic opened October 3, 2016 with a mission to bring expert pediatric orthopaedic care closer to the doorsteps of children in Johnson City, Tennessee, and the 29-county service area of Mountain States Health Alliance. Shriners Hospitals for Children Orthopaedics Clinic at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, located approximately 120 miles from the main Greenville Shriners Hospital campus in South Carolina, creates a continuum of care that best serves the needs of patients and families living in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Southeast Kentucky and Western North Carolina.

We have a special expertise in the following areas:

  • Scoliosis and other spinal abnormalities
  • Pediatric sports injuries
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Clubfoot and other problems of the foot
  • Limb deficiencies and prosthetic restoration
  • Spina bifida
  • Brittle bone disease

Meet Dr. Brandon Green

Dr. Green leads the Shriners Hospitals for Children Orthopaedics Clinic at Niswonger Children’s Hospital, the first practice of its kind in the Shriners Hospitals for Children system. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and completed his pediatric orthopaedic residency at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Green is also a graduate of the Wellmont Orthopaedic Residency program in Kingsport, Tennessee. Greenville Shriners Hospital physician Dr. Brandon Green resides in Johnson City, and sees patients not only for standard office visits at the clinic but also performs surgeries in Tennessee. Niswonger Children’s Hospital raising funds to create dedicated treatment space for babies born with drug addiction

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – In response to a region-wide epidemic of babies born addicted to drugs, the Mountain States Foundation is beginning a fundraising project to create a special unit within Niswonger Children’s Hospital dedicated to caring for babies who are born with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS). Crown Laboratories donates $12,500, 40 Build-A-Bears to Niswonger Children’s Hospital Radiothon

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Crown Laboratories, Inc., made a $12,500 donation to the 2016 Niswonger Children’s Hospital Radiothon on Tuesday, and also presented a gift of 40 Build-A-Bears to the hospital.
